As we close out the year our Live Well Farm crew wanted to share our 2018 journey with you.
The season opener was (by far) our personal favorite but only because the entire LWF family got to participate when owners Scott and Patty renewed their wedding vows and 40 years of friends from coast to coast arrived in Harpswell to celebrate! This was followed by 16 weekends of wedding celebrations that spanned the gamut from flannel to formal, Beatles to Bochelli, food trucks to filet mignon. Every event was unique with an air of rustic New England country ambiance, and guests went home with some awesome memories. Check out our new wedding gallery where some of these memories are archived.
June through September saw us host our four seasonal wine dinners in the barn where we introduced 40 new wines and cuisine that went from Italy to France to American to …. comfort food favorites. All sold out under 48 hours! (Yay) To go alongside great food and wine our BARN Backstory presenters covered unique, behind the scenes topics from business, art, recreation, and inspirational life.
Midway through the 2018 season, artists came to the farm for an artist’s sketching retreat where they refined their skills using Live Well Farm’s beautiful landscape and Harpswell’s magnificent coastline as backdrops. Each day was capped off with a relaxing evening repast from Live Well’s awesome kitchen and wine cellar.
We closed out our season in late October with the Song Traveler Writers Retreat where singer/ songwriters converged to collaborate, become inspired to write new songs, and gather in the barn every night to showcase their work. This was work that you just might hear at some point after it reaches a recording studio.
Our goal is always to make each event special for our guests. In their own way each client becomes special to us at Live Well as they plan, prepare, communicate, and anticipate expectations for their event.
What an awesome job we have here at LWF, to host something new and special every week during the most magnificent time of year on the coast of Maine.
