How many guests do you ACCOMMODATE for a wedding reception?

Live Well Farm can accommodate wedding receptions of up to 200 people. If you are planning a more intimate wedding, you may be able to forgo renting a tent as the barn can hold up to 80 guests for a seated dinner. If you anticipate your guest list to be higher then you will need to rent a tent. Believe us, the ambiance of a tent is gorgeous.

Do you have restrooms?

We have 2 restrooms located in the barn. For guest counts of 100+ we recommend sourcing an additional outside restroom. There are several convenient locations on the property where these can be placed so they are accessible to guests while still being discreet.

Can we supply the alcohol?

LWF does not serve or supply liquor. We adhere to the State of Maine Liquor Laws which allows you to purchase your own liquor if you so choose. We do require a Liquor Liability Insurance Policy that can be purchased through a non-affiliate site for a minimal cost as well as a hired vendor to serve. There are many licensed bartenders for hire that an be found on our Preferred Vendor Guide who can assist.

Can we have our rehearsal dinner on-site?

Yes, for clients who select a multi-day package the farm is all yours. The highly recommend a traditional Lobster bake for quintessential Maine rehearsal dinner! Additional meals served on site that are planned to accommodate above your “farm house guest count” must use insured caterers/bartenders. Please consider any additional clean-up needs or rentals that must be brought on site to facilitate these events.

Do you HAve on site parking?

We can accommodate on site parking for 40 cars, conditions permitting, in the back field. There is additional parking across the street at a local business for another 30 vehicles. Should your parking needs exceed the aforementioned, we suggest hiring a transportation company. There is plenty of room for shuttles and trolleys. We have included a list of reliable transportation vendors on our Preferred Vendor Guide, all of which are familiar with our property. Hiring a transportation company also allows your guests to enjoy your party without having to drive afterwards.

WhAT’S NEARBY?

You’re only 2o minutes from charming downtown Brunswick, the home of Bowdoin College, great restaurants, boutique shopping, hotels and art galleries. LWF is at the end of the Harpswell peninsula for water activities, nature trails and many seafood restaurants. There is a lot to see and do.

What if we want to get married in a church or on the water?

We have great options for church and waterfront sites. Johnson Field at Mackerel Cove is a popular choice for ceremonies on the water. For churches, nearby Elijah Kellogg in Harpswell is beautiful, and there are many options for places of worship in Brunswick. Pleas ask for more info.

Are there specific vendors we need to use?

No. It’s important to us that you are able to curate your event to reflect your individual style. Upon booking we provide a Preferred Vendor Guide which includes a curated list of vendors across several categories that we have had amazing experiences with and who are also familiar with the property.

Is there heat or air conditioning?

We have A/C in the Family Room and Cloud Room. Each room has a fan, but the ocean breeze usually provides all the cooling you’ll need. The farmhouse is heated, but of course, we hope you won’t need it in the summer season. Two patio heaters are available for outdoor warmth. The barn is not heated, but once the dancing starts, everyone is warm.

Can LWF also plan my wedding?

Having over 10 years of experience in the events industry we ar certainly available to be a sounding board but we are going to leave the planning up to those that do it professionally. We do require that all our clients employ an insured event coordinator/planner who can more expertly assist you along the way and who is also present on the day of your event. This is a huge help for clients navigating the events world for the first time, assisting with your vendor coordination and also gives you peace of mind that your day runs smoothly so you can sit back and enjoy it. How can i reserve lwf for my event?

Upon your request, and pending event date availability. a LWF team member will customize your proposal and email it directly to your via our third party booking platform. Proposals are typically good for one week from the proposal date at which a 50% non-refundable deposit and signed contract to hold your event date will be required. The remaining balance can be scheduled through intervals with the final payment being due 60 days prior to your event.
